Texture, a tactile surface with relief, opens a new dimension between the fabricated construct of imagery and the physical presence of an object. In these paintings I am exploring the dimensions we live in as sentient beings, and how we have to navigate between perceptual realities and physical realities to create an understanding of the phenomena we experience. Weaving together abstract, representational and haptic aspects I am looking to express something of the strange reality we accept as normal.​
