Cloth is a neatly fitting reference material for my subject matter as it comes from long historical cultural lineages, it's natural fibres are willfully woven for different intentions, and it's folds are never exactly repeated. Caught in fleeting moments and held in pause, as if meaning and agency are there, an inanimate object becomes animated. Through the different pieces I am exploring the complexity and connectedness of our emotional and sentient existences.    With the mark making in the work, visible right down to the tiny fibres that collectively coordinate into the whole, I am thinking about the question of where individuality really starts or really finishes.    These ideas are further expanded into objects and abstract pieces, where relationships and interacting processes are explored.
